Healthy eating, healthy lifestyle

I am back in NYC for 2 weeks.  The way I eat is part of my lifestyle, it is who I am.  I love the way I feel! I eat totally gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, have achieved my ideal weight, exercise at CrossFit and surround myself with people who like to feel and look healthy.  Having a support system is huge for me.  15 years ago I dropped a good 20 pounds and my health immediately began to improve. My blood sugar levels balanced, due to cutting out sugar, bad fats, table salt   and using the Shaklee soy protein. I have tried so many other shakes and programs to lose weight and would gain and lose weight constantly. This was the only  program  which became a lifestyle that worked immediately. No checking calories and no more craving. YAHOO, what a freedom!

  Now that I eat more meat than I did in the past. I always choose  meats that are hormone free and grass-fed.  I use the Shaklee supplements, like OmegaGuard, a pharmaceutical grade omega-3 fatty acid, Cinch tea which aids in balancing out my blood sugar  and of course a solid multi vitamin, their Vitalizer. 

My weight has bee n stable for years and recently I lost a few more pounds and gained muscle due to the CINCH program, Paleo diet and CrossFit. 

Between the business partners I have who also represent the Shaklee product lines, my clients who become close friends and people at the CrossFit gym I am surrounded by action oriented people who love to feel and look great.  We support each others goals and are actually in better moods most of the time because we physically feel good.

Weight loss while traveling

Still traveling, now in NYC.  This is the 3rd week.  For the first time during a trip I lost weight,  13 pounds.  It is also the first time I did not give into  ice cream, m & m’s, or gluten-free bread while away.  I feel so good.   I believe what has sustained my body is eating according to the Paleo Diet and using Shaklee food supplements. That has been a strategic combination for me.  Sustained energy, satiety, and weight loss, yahoo!  I have been exercising, but that is not something new. 

Come join us tomorrow night on our National conference call discussing controlling weight while eating delicious, gluten free food and hear what worked for me. What if a similar combination supported your goals for weight loss, weight maintainance, increased energy and lack of cravings for sugar or breads.  It has been a real freedom for me.

To Thine own self be true

I am out-of-town with family. The temptation to overeat is everywhere. My family is heavily into indulging in the great delicacies Manhattan has to offer.  They just ordered in from one of the best Deli’s in NYC. I have just lost 8 pounds, feel great, my clothes fit really well, and I have been enjoying the energy I have had.  I am also part of a “Paleo Challenge” at the CrossFit Gym I belong to. That involves eating according to the Paleo diet(which is a healthy way to eat which is gluten-free).  It also incorporated solid workouts a couple of times a week. I have travel CrossFit workouts outlined and will do the first one tomorrow. Still sore from the workout on Wednesday morning. I have made a committment to myself to continue this healthy way of living.  I have had a pattern in the past of eating sugar and diary when I travel.  Writing is giving me the strength and reminder to stick to who I truly am. I love being healthy, and taking care of my mind and body. I have lost weight and would like to continue to lose on this trip. I only have 5  more pounds to go to my ideal weight. 

We leave for Ireland on Saturday for a week. That should be interesting. As long as I stick to protein,veggies and fruit I will be good. I know I will be exercising and walking a lot, so that’s good.
